My home is about to puke red
What's even more fun is all the noise they make. I think in a couple months, I may have to be admitted to a looney bin. It's only been one day of all things E.lmo and I already was dreaming of Elm.o songs last night. YIKES!!
It was a super fun day though. Brynna really made out like a bandit with new toys and books and clothes... mostly from grandparents too, which means Batman and I didn't go overboard or broke ;-)
We were only able to get one picture of the 3 of us:
Too bad her eyes are closed or it would have been a really good picture!
And here's a couple of B with her new loot:

Crafts... with Pictures!
For the grandparents:
The ornaments have B's handprint painted on them with glitter inside and a "dangling" picture of her royal cuteness. The plaque, I made with my new Sil.houette machine (have I mentioned I LOVE it?! 'Cause I am kind of infatuated). Obviously the one I made for my parents has their last name and not my IL...
(In retrospect I would have measured and centered their name instead of just winging it...)
For the Aunties and Uncles (and cousins!):
Each one has their first initial on it- also made with my lovely new machine-
Since I drew my little bro, I made him this:
It's a "prayer board" where he can put pictures and little notes of who and what he's praying for (He asked for it, if you can believe it. The punk wants to be a pastor... go figure)
(again in retrospect- I should have measured the ribbon spacing instead of just winging it...so much for that now thought)
Batman technically drew my sister's name, but since he's not all that crafty, I whipped up her gift... and since I'm a slacker I forgot to take a picture of it before I sent it off, but here is where I "copied" it from. Also made with my new machine ;-)
For the cousins:
We got a stuffed animal thingy for my youngest nephew... it's called a hug (B has one too- hers is purple). We got it at a local craft fair in November (handmade but not by me) and I thought it was fun:
And my other neice and nephew got these books (the first and second).
I'm {fairly} happy with how things turned out. And did I mention I'm loving working with my new Silh.ouette machine? Thanks again Batman!!
So there you have it folks: Our handmade Christmas!

13/14 months!
So Brynna has gone from being my "baby" to an active toddler! Oh my! The last couple months have been crazy for her!
Between 12 mo and 14mo she popped out 6 new teeth! She now has the 4 front on both top and bottom and all 4 of her molars. It's been quite an ordeal though. There weren't too many sleepless nights, but the few we had were doozies I tell ya! Hopefully, she's got a reprieve for a while?
She is walking EVERYWHERE. No more crawling in this house. And she seems to be figuring out "running" as well. Although that usually ends with either running into a wall (she takes after her mother) or tripping over her own feet (also like her mom).
She's still not saying many intelligible words. She still says mamma and dadda and duck (du) and dog (do) but not much more than that. It seems that du and do have various meanings though. She will point out a duck and say "du" but then she will do the same thing with Elmo or the Christmas tree ornament or the food on her plate, so who knows? Batman is a little worried that she doesn't say too many words yet, so I think we will bring it up at our next dr appt. I'm not overly concerned, but we will see next month :)
She "seems" to be growing however, she still fits into a lot of her 9 month clothes. Most of her 12 month stuff still looks a bit big, but since they are most of her warmer clothes, that's what she wears ;-)
Her feet seem to finally be growing a bit. She now wears a size 4!
We are still in size 3 disposables and her BG CD still fit nicely... I'm not sure they will last until she's potty trained though. They are let out to the biggest size and if she gets too much bigger, I don't think they will last. Anyone else thinking they may have this issue? We have plenty of "bigger" homemade CD so I'm not worried, just curious if they BG will really last.
We still CD most of the time. When we travel of course we switch to disposies (since I can't exactly do laundry on the road), but when we are home and around town, it's cloth all the way. And now it's been made easier as Batman and I purchased THIS (and the dryer too) on Sunday- and they were delivered Monday- and I LOVE them!
Brynna is eating all table food now- which at times can be a challenge since we like her to eat what we eat... and we've been eating a lot of salad lately. Haha! Thankfully, most of the salad toppings are things she will eat, like beans, softer veggies, couscous, quinoa, tofu, rice, "meat" crumbles, etc.
We had our first big snow storm just after Thanksgiving here and Brynna LOVED playing in the snow! Here's a look:
Eating it was fun too:
She LOVES reading books and even "reads" to Kino sometimes:
She discovered some of the fun things about Christmas these last couple months too like trees and ornaments:
The Wiggles (yes, I know she's not supposed to watch ANY TV until she's 2, but sometimes we just need a break from our normal routine... please don't judge):
Christmas crafts:
Macy's (Day After) Thanksgiving Day Parade (in Seattle):
It's fun seeing her figure out things. You can almost see the wheels turning in her head as she figures out how to reach something, or open a drawer, play in the dogs water, open doors, push buttons (the dishwasher especially), figure out the shape finder, make elmo "talk," etc.
She gets more and more personality by the day and one of her favorite games lately is "hide-and-seek" She loves to "hide" and wait for you to find her and she really loves finding Batman or me. It's the cutest. thing. ever!
And that's all I can think of... I really am going to try and be a better blogger- up tomorrow (hopefully) are all the Christmas gifts/ crafts we made!

Work in progress
In the meantime I'm getting all our Christmas gifts together. We are doing a "handmade" Christmas again this year. First, because, well, we are poor. And second, because I'm in a crafty mood. And third, it's fun! Haha!
I'll take some pics when I get things done.
Happy Hump Day everyone!

My neglected blog
I think I just need better time management.
So here's the last couple weeks in bullets:
- Cheer has been crazy busy- we had 4 games last week, plus an extra practice- which turned out to be for naught since the routine we were going to perform didn't happen
- I've had 3 girls quit the team in the last 3 days and I kicked one of the guys off
- Said boy was kicked off for being an idiot- misses practice to get a tattoo? Give me a break!
- I think we all need Christmas break
- Brynna has been thriving! Such a busy girl I have!
- Batman started back out at the base f/t until the 22nd
- The inside of our house is finally decorated for Christmas, but I think we are forgoing the outside this year. Everytime Batman was available to put up the lights, it was either raining or snowing like crazy
- My sister was in a car accident- she was rearended by a guy with no insurance- lovely- and now her car is totalled
- My older brother is going in for back surgery tomorrow morning
- My dad has a colonoscopy tomorrow and a cystoscopy on Thursday
- My parents car broke down last week- it's "fixed" now
- My mom is stressed out like you wouldn't believe so I've been a bit of a sounding board lately
- With all the rain the PNW has been having, my parents basement started flooding
- Brynna turns 14 months old next week and I still haven't posted about her 13mo update... slacker mom
- I got one of these babies from Batman- a belated birthday/ early Christmas present- and an attachment has formed... LOVE
- With all this cheer stuff going on, I haven't been able to use said machine much... but soon my pet... very soon
- I have one of our biggest fundraisers coming up on Saturday and somehow I've convinced Batman to MC...
- Kino killed our resident squirrel today and ate most of it... I found the head and torso laying in front of the back door earlier this evening as I was cleaning up dinner... thankfully outside, not in
- I'm afraid Kino is going to be sick in the middle of the night. All over my newly cleaned kitchen floor... or worse... the carpet
- I'm trying to come up with Christmas gifts for my sis and little bro (Batman drew Ash and I drew Zac)... I really want to get Zac this, but they are sold out... and I can't knit or crochet to save my life- plus I'm poor and $50 for a hat is not in my budget... time for plan B?
- I've decided to go on the "no food" diet... seriously
- Not seriously, but I have to do SOMETHING... need to lose weight
I think that's all for now... I really will try to get a post up for B's 13 mo update... sometime BEFORE she turns 14 mos!
*promise*

Happy Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was a week ago??
Oh, right!
Well, Happy {Belated} Thanksgiving then ;-)
(Ack! My face looks like it's painted white! YIKES!! I promise I wasn't dressed up as a mime!)
Life has been super busy for us lately... what else is newMi? I feel like I never have a moment just to sit down and do anything for myself (aka blog) and when I do, I have been choosing to read (this series) again (I'm hoping Batman gets the hint and buys me the 7th/ newest book in the series) and to craft. I ended up making some super cute things for my sis, my mom and my alder brother for their birthdays. Well, mom's and ash's were cute...
Here's our life in bullets then, since I seem to be epically failing at this blogging thing:
- Miss Brynna turned 13 months... YIKES! That's an upcoming update [**promise**]
- Cheer season has begun- meaning lots of games, activities and the like
- My cheer assistant was in Austria for 3 weeks- meaning I had to be at EVERY event instead of just 3/4 of them
- We are cohosting a cheer competition in Dec, which has kept me hopping even more than normal
- Batman did some odd jobs with his dad and his old work
- Batman started back out at the base f/t for until the end of the year
- We spent a weekend in Twin with Batman's brother and family
- We spent Thanksgiving in Seattle with my family
- We had a crazy snow storm on our way home from Twin, Seattle had one the day we were suposed to fly out (we ended up changing our flight for the next morning as our scheduled flight at 7:40 pm didn't leave until 12:15am- on top of that it took my parent's 6 hours to get home from the airport area! ), and then another one yesterday that dropped 8 inches at our doorstep. It was a little insane, but thankfully B and I didn't have to go anywhere. We just kicked it around the house
- My team lost {devastation ensued} to Nevada... I still love our kicker though... he's from our town (and Batman's HS) so how could we not show the love?
- Kino got to spend a week at our friends house, causing all sorts of ruckus with their 2 dogs, and even got to sleep on their bed... he lived like a king for 6 days straight
- We watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade from the comfort (warmth) of my parents family room... then the next day froze our *you-know-whats* off the next day at the Macy's Day After Thanksgiving Day Parade in Sea-town
- Brynna got to spend some time out in the snow, first with cousins, then with aunties and uncles, then with just me
- I made my sister a cute shirt for her birhtday using a tutorial I found online. Then saw a shirt almost identical in Ol.d Na.vy on black friday... mine was, like so much cuter though
- I made my mom a cute scarf using another tutorial I found online.
- One of these times I might actually link to the craft tutorials I find, so you can actually see what I'm talking about
And I think that's it in a nut shell... or at least what I can remember (other than the updates on B that will be in another post- think teeth... and lots of them)
Hope all is well with your families and that you had a great Thanksgiving!

12 Months
Anyway...
I didn't take any crib pics this time around. Call me lazy... maybe I should just go ahead and do it tomorrow? Ha! Better late than never?
She's doing pretty fabulous these days though. She's walking EVERY. WHERE. Which makes life interesting. I think I pick up our house 25 times a day, only to turn around and toys are everywhere again! Ah! She's a woman on a mission most of the time ;-)
Her stats from her 12 mo appt were:
Wt: 19lbs 8oz (25%)
Ht: 26.75 in (25%... I think)
Hd Circ: 43.25 cm (?%)
She's a petite little thing (which we knew) just like her mama (WAS... sadly those days seem to be gone forever...). Although one thing struck me as odd- at her 9 mo appt she was 27.25 in long. So apparently she shrank (shrunk?)? We measured her against the wall at home though and our calulations were a hair over 27.25, so I think our normal nurse was off a bit this last appt (we still love Amanda though).
She's still my little bald girl, but I think it makes all our bows and flower headbands that much more fun ;-)
She is eating almost exclusively table food. Really the only time we give her jarred stuff is if we are on the go. And even then it's not very often.
She's not saying too many words beyond "mama" and "dada" still, but we did just hear dog (daaaaa- while pointing at Kino) and duck (duuu- while holding her duck puzzle piece) and Batman swears she said Elmo (Emmo) just the other day- Wait maybe that should be in the 13th month update? Oh well ;-)
She FINALLY cut a couple more teeth right around her birthday. One on the top right and one of the bottom right (both next to her front teeth). Her grin looks a little goofy and lopsided, but I find it endearing.
She's still in mostly 9 mo clothes, but since we received mostly 12 mo sizes for her birthday, she's been wearing those more and more (plus it's getting mighty COLD around these parts... 45 for a high the last week YIKES!). Still in size 3 diapers and her CD fit about the same as always.
As of actually turning 12 months we were still BF, but that changed this week. As of Tuesday (Nov 9), she was officially done. And it didn't even seem to phase her one bit! Seriously! I thought it was going to be much harder! We've transitioned to a bit of rice milk at night before bed and with meals and then water during the rest of the day ("juice" is a pretty special treat and only when we go out to eat).
I'm still not sure how I feel about the whole weaning process. I was a little sad, a little happy. My boobs hurt today. Other than that, I think I'm just ready to move to the next thing... SERIOUS WEIGHT LOSS! (another post, another time)
Here are a few recent pics wev'e taken... oh and in her costume too! She had a great time trick-or-treating and by the end of the night had figured it out HA! She would walk up to the door with her hand out, waiting for her candy (that mom and dad ate). So CUTE!
Little Ladybug Trick or Treating
Figuring out how to get the good stuff
In her duck costume (yes, she had 2 costumes and yes she wore BOTH!)
In the bath- she kept trying to put bubbles on top of her head
CHEESE!
Caught in the act of playing in the toilet paper
Checking out... something...
Looking a little guilty
Checking out her loot
Monkey Roenan- B's cousin (had to add this one- he is too cute!)

VOTE!
I just love exercising my right to vote! Is that weird?
I LOVE hearing my name called out "Tiffany W... has voted!" Do they do that in any other place but Idaho? Because they should.
I get such a sense of accomplishment and pride.
So whatever you vote for, just get out there. Make your voice heard today! Go VOTE!

Whew! What a weekend!
Friday, my whole family came into town for the party! My parents and older brother arrived around dinner time and took us out here. It was nice getting to catch up over a good meal :) My little sister and brother came in late since they had to stay and go to classes. My little sis even got to stay with us!
Saturday dawned cold and rainy for Brynna's party. We woke up early and started getting everything ready. We needed to have everything done and ready by 11 as my BIL and his family would ber here by then. B's party was to start at 1 too so we wanted it ready to go before anyone arrived.
We set up a tent on our back deck so that people could go in and out of the house- we had over 30 people in our 1400 sq ft (read SMALL) home- we had the fire pit going too. We moved furniture to accomodate as many chairs as we could and then realized most people ended up standing and mingling anyway haha!
Brynna received lots of fun toys and clothes. We had a great time watching her eat her smash cake and helping her open up all her presents! She started out interested in opening things, but by the end of the pile she looked a little bored haha!
Everyone stayed for a couple hours and then left. My family stuck around and we played Family Fu.ed on the PS3 then they went back to their hotel.
Sunday, Batman wasn't feeling so hot, so we left him in bed and met my family at Cr.ack.er Barr.el for breakfast. It was SO yummy! Late that afternoon, my family headed home and we got some much needed R&R :)
I can't seem to find my camera to upload all the pics from her party, but if you head over to my SIL blog you can catch a few glimpes there! As soon as I locate it, I will put up all ours too!

Happy Birthday, Sweet Girl!
It seems like just yesterday, Batman and I were nervously entering the hospital, anxiously awaiting what the day would bring. Instead it was a year ago.
My sweet girl is no longer this darling snugglebug.
She's officially a moving and grooving toddler. With less and less time for snuggling with mom, but more personality every day.
I'm kind of a bundle of emotions today. On one hand, I'm so in love with my girl more and more each day and I have been waiting to celebrate this milestone with her! I'm excited to see her turn one! I love the stage she is at, discovering new things, moving all over, driving Batman and I to giggly tears with her antics.
But I miss the sweet baby that I used to just sit and watch sleep. I miss snuggling with her for hours at a time, just being content.
These days I'm lucky if I get more than 2 minutes of snuggle time, unless it's right before bed and even then it's maybe 5 minutes.
Why, oh why does time move so quickly? I just want to hold on to these precious moments with her before they are gone!
Batman and I are so blessed to have this little girl in our lives. She is SO loved it's ridiculous!
I'll post her stats and 12 month update sometime tomorrow or this weekend. Her party is Saturday and of course we will have lots of pics from that too ;-)
Happy Birthday baby girl! Mommy loves you SOOOOOOO much!!

How I spent my Friday night
Midnight Madness was on Friday and their routine was great (minus a small flub). I was SO proud of them! :) I can't wait to see how the year progresses!
Here's a video of their routine and pic of them whole squad (as a FYI- I did NOT mix the music and wasn't really impressed with it- hopefully the next routine has a better mix- That's what I get for allowing one of the cheer girls's friends do it):

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness
I'm remembering my sweet baby boy that we never got to know. We held him for only a moment, but he is in our hearts forever. Gabriel Jacob will always be remembered, loved and missed.
And out little bean that we only knew about for a couple days. We remember you too little one. You are in our hearts today and always.
My heart goes out to all the mommies remembering their angel babies. ((HUGS))

New! Leggings! Homemade!
They are a little long, but at least this way she can wear them for a while. Aren't they cute? They were SUPER easy! I just took an old pair of knee socks that I didn't really wear (and only wore like twice), cut off the foot part and zigzagged the bottom so it wouldn't ravel. I think the next pair I make I might add a ruffle. Hmm...

And what I've been up to
I made her this (for her birthday outfit):
And this (just because I had extra fabric and thought it would be fun):
And then we sent out these invites:
I think we are pretty set for her birthday. All I need to get are a few last minute decorations and the paper products. My MIL volunteered to make the cake (and B's smash cake) which will be in the shape of a crown like this
And of course when the day arrives we will take LOTS of pictures!

Decisions, decisions
Batman has been home all week and has commandeered the computer most of the day. Needless to say, I have WAY too many blogs to read now.
So...
Batman...
Our original plan was for him to go back to school and get his teaching certification here. We both have our BA's from here already (mine in history, his in English), but we never got teaching certification (I didn't because, well I have NO desire to teach. I have no patience.). Anyway, they offer a program that allows you to get Idaho certification within 18 months or so while also working towards a MoE. Unfortunately, part of this program includes 16 weeks of student teaching. Which means, basically quitting your job and working in the schools full time. Not getting paid. And paying the university for the credits. Lovely huh?
We knew this was coming and saved for it. However, it still scared the bejesus out of us, going 4 months with no real* income to speak of.
So when Batman quit his job at the hospital in May to go on orders at the base, we thought things would continue as planned and he would just be out of work for 4 months, do his student teaching, find another job and we'd be fine. But life doesn't' really ever go as planned does it?
Batman's orders ended and then were extended for another month which brings us to the present (well a week and a half ago).
We just can't justify him being completely out of work for 4 months with no job prospects after that other than *POSSIBLY* teaching. for pennies. Especially when I SAH and we are trying to pay off debt (using this plan. We are SO close!). We asked ourselves what really made sense (what would DR say), where we were going, and what did we really want to accomplish.
And we decided to hold off on student teaching and certification. Instead of student teaching, Batman was able to convince the school to let him just complete the MoE without certification. And now he's looking for work.
Which should be fun in this economy.
He's got a few prospects. He's applied for a couple of full time positions at the base (which would be our first choice). We are looking at active duty. He's working with his dad here and there as needed. He's going to contract with his old job to do some training of the 2 people they hired to fill his position.
So that's where we are. Heavy decisions being made. Hoping something works out in the near future.
Thankfully we have savings to keep us afloat for a while. Please keep us in your prayers that Batman will get a job soon.
I think I'm a little stressed to say the least.
*besides my very minimal income from cheer and Batman's drill and disability pay

Looky! Looky!
And then I entered a giveaway she was offering.
And then... I won!!
Woot woot! I never win anything (Doesn't everybody say that? Well, I guess I can't say that anymore, can I?)
And a few weeks later, which happened to be today, we got this in the mail (the dress not the cutest baby in the world)
Please disregard the ironing board in the background.
I've been working on Brynna's birthday outfit today.
And it couldn't have come on a more perfect day, since it's game day afterall!
We are ready to watch our Broncos beat the Aggies! Go BSU!

Where did everybody go?
Where did everybody go?
I think I may have missed some posts that hinted at people getting rid of their blogs because it seems like half of them on my sidebar no longer exist!
I will admit that I am guilty of using G.oog.le reader for getting most of my updates from you all. Unfortunately that means that anyone who is private, I don't get to your blog as often. For that, I'm sorry and I am going to try and use my sidebar often... or at least put you on my favorites list on our home computer. ;-)
Hopefully, everyone is doing well and enjoying the changing of the seasons!

11 months
My baby is almost a toddler. What happened to the last year of my life?! Seriously!
Here are her 11 month pics:
As you can see, she is constantly on the move.
She is eating more and more table food. We've managed to cut jarred food down to one meal or less a day and she eats pretty much everything that we eat. We eat LOTS of veggies and fruits, so I have no doubt she is getting all the nutrition she needs. We had a talk with our pseudo peditrician in Seattle about not going the cow's milk route (because why would we drink the milk of another animal? Cow's milk is for calves. Breast milk is for babies. Too bad I love cheese so much.) and he thinks it's completely fine. We have been doing a little menu planning as of late to make sure we are all getting the nutrition we need and that has helped a lot. One of her favorite foods is bananas! She has one most mornings with breakfast and as soon as I show/ ask her if she wants one, she squeals with delight! It's the Cutest. Thing. EVER.
Brynna is WALKING! Yep, you heard right! A couple days before she turned 11 months she took her first "all by herself" steps. She isn't walking exclusively, as crawling is "like, so much faster" but more and more she's getting upright. She can walk across a whole room by herself (although sometimes about halfway, she realizes she's on two legs and gets scared. Ha!)
She is STILL in 9 month clothes. I'm beginning to wonder if she will ever grow out of them. I've resorted recently to just putting her in some 12 month things, just so she gets use out of them (see above pics- that one is 12 mo and SO BIG on her). We have a number of outfits that are for warmer weather and while it's still 90 here this week, that will quickly change in the next couple weeks.
Oh and on a side note- did you know that 9 month size is a corporate scam? So says a vendor at a local art fair we recently went to. Apparently 9 month size is really either 6 or 12 and not its own size. I beg to differ on this though as B fits in 9 mo Car.ters for example but 6 mo is WAY too small and 12 mo is WAY too big. I wanted to tell her she was full of sh.it, but she was already beyond rude so we just left her booth and moved on.
She is still in size 3 diapers. Which makes it really nice at grandma's because her cousin Roenan (who is 7 months) is also in size 3. No more diaper mix ups mid change! Huzzah!
The day before she turned 11 months we let out our Bumgenius CD all the way. They seem to fit much better now and we have less leaks overnight.
She still waves and sings and dances and kisses. We are working on blowing kisses. Right now she will put her hand to her mouth, but she hasn't quite gotten the "blow it away" part. Soon. We are also working on learning to blow out a candle! Now, if I can just teach her not to try to GRAB it first, we will be set ;-) (No, she hasn't burned herself).
We are working on lots of words, but she still doesn't say much more than "mama" and "dada." I'm sure it has different meanings, but it all sounds the same ;-)
She LOVES to read and we have taken to getting her cheapy board books at the $ store (who can beat $1 books). Then it doesn't bother me so much when she tries to eat them.
Still just the 4 teeth (two on top, two on bottom), but she's been drooling like fiend the last week or so, so maybe by her 12 month update we will have a couple more?
I think that's all for now.
Off to work on 1st birthday party planning. Yikes! There's a lot to do!! Wish me luck!
