It was another fail week in the eating department. Like I said before, when we get busy, we kind of lose our minds. It's a bad habit and it NEEDS. TO. STOP.
We will get there though. At least, we are finally acknowledging that we have an eating problem... right?
Weight loss/gain: -0.6
Skinny Jeans: see previous weeks- this needs to change STAT!
I worked out a decent amount, even with missing the weekend. I think I made up for it the last few days, doing double work outs. If I can just curb my terrible eating, it would help a TON.
I'm wondering if keeping a food diary would help a bit. I slacked off the last time I tried it (other blog), but maybe I can keep up with it this time. I may have to try it again.
It's going to be another busy weekend. We are hosting another cheer competition, this one being 3x the size as the last. Thankfully, our meals will be provided this time and they are MUCH more healthy than the last time (or our usual weekend fare)! Better choices=better weight loss= healthy! Batman is emceeing again and I will be running around like a chicken with it's head cut off (again). It will be fun though. It always gets my kids excited too which helps with their morale this time of year. If I get any pictures I will be sure to share them on here ;-)
Happy Thursday All!

Blah... not much to say
Thank you all for the advice.
I think I may start with stripping the diapers again. I think the last time I did that was about 6 mos ago (or more) so hopefully that will help.
I also may cut down the amount of milk B drinks right before bed. I figure less fluid= less pee... right?
We'll see.
I may end up buying some hemp inserts if that doesn't work (in fact, I think we may even have some in the stash my neighbors gave us. Most of the dipes were too big when they sent them over, but I may have to go through them again and see). Something has to work!
I don't think I want to go the sposie route. At least not yet. The only time B has ever gotten diaper rash was after wearing sposies, so I'm always hesitant to use them overnight. Hmm... It will probably be a last resort.
We had a busy weekend. Which equated to another fail in the eating and working out. Blah! I see a pattern unfortunately and I don't like it!! Apparently when life gets busy, we lose our minds.
I'm not looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in that's for sure. Then again I wasn't last week either and I was down almost 2 lbs... so you never know, right? Ha!
Here's a couple recent pics of B, since I know you are all DYING to see her ;-) 15 mo update coming soon! And an interesting well baby check to talk about.
Reading with Dad. She wasn't all that interested in this book though...

CD Fail
There seems to be a lot of failure in this house these days.
Recently, our cloth diapers have been failing us over night. It doesn't matter how many inserts I stuff in them, Brynna almost always pees through them and I end up doing a load of her blankets and sheets daily.
I've tried using 'sposies over night to see if that made a difference. Nope. Nada. Zilch.
She either pees WAY too much while she sleeps, or her stomach sleeping is causing the problem. I'm not sure what to do, or if there is anything I CAN do.
I'm just tired of stripping her crib everyday.
Any advice from you CD Mamas?

Wednesday {Thursday} weigh in
After my weekend of fail after fail, I was just sure I was going to be up a few pounds this week. Apparently it wasn't quite as bad as I thought.
Weight loss/gain: -1.8 lbs
Skinny Jeans: see last week
Friday through Sunday was one bad meal after another. AND I ended up taking the weekend off (unintentionally) of working out.
I was back in the saddle, so to speak, come Monday so I guess that helped combat the bad eating and nonwork-outs.
I really feel terrible about letting the weekend get away with me. I know better than to let bad eating continue more than one day :( That's how I got myself into this mess in the first place! Grr!
Will do better this week! Already have been eating better AND working out. I was thinking about skipping the weights this week, but yesterday I just felt like I needed to add in a little something more than just cardio. So today, I'm paying for it... SO sore!
Haircut today... although I doubt I will have her cut more than just a little off the ends. I always end up regretting anything more than that. We'll see though. ;-)

Tales from the {poopy} trails
The title says it all really. We've had more poop stories this week than I would care to ever have again.
B has figured out how to un-vel.cro her CD.
Enough said?
Episode 1:
Monday night, Batman and I were finishing up dinner and we hear giggling coming from our family room. I walk in there and B is squatting down, bare-a$$ naked, just laughing away. She sees me and runs towards me to give me a hug. It's then that I notice that her hands are kind of dirty... with POO! Yes, my child was playing in her own stink. She had it smeared all down her arm and all over her legs.
I, being the cool, calm and collected (NOT) mom, scream for Batman to come help me.
He, being the melodramatic one (NOT) walks in, assesses the situation and just starts laughing.
Yes, it's hilarious.
B then proceeds to run past us, into the kitchen where she sits on the floor and scoots around on her butt. Spreading her poop all over the kitchen floor. Affording me the opportunity to rescrub my just cleaned kitchen.
Finally, Batman composes himself enough to grab her and plop her in the bath. And I get to clean up the mess.
Episode 2:
Tuesday morning, I'm changing B's diaper (poopy, of course) and I successfully finish wiping her- clean as a whistle.
Then she arches her back and somehow manages to put both her feet into said poopy diaper (that I moved to the other side of the changing table- what I thought was out of reach) and smears it all over her feet, the changing table and me.
And then I realize I'm out of wipes within reachable distance.
I literally stood there for a good 30 seconds before I just used a dry one (we use reusable wipes) to semi clean it up before- you guessed it- plopping her into the tub.
Episode 3:
We are just getting out of the car yesterday for lunch at a local salad place. I can kind of smell something a little off in the general vicinity of my daughter. Assuming she is poopy, I get her out of the car and proceed into said food establishment. About halfway to the bathroom, I realize my shirt is mysteriously wet.
I look down and pull her away a bit and see that I now have a brownish stain on my WHITE SHIRT.
We get into the bathroom and I find that B has undone her diaper (while in her car seat somehow) and it's halfway off AND has had the poo of all poops. And we don't have a change of clothes.
Thankfully we did have a diaper and her shirt has been spared.
Needless to say, we did NOT stay and have lunch.
This has been my week so far.
And it's only Wednesday folks.
It's going to be a lovely week.
Ya, just lovely...

Fail
So today I decided I'm not working out... Just having a tired, off day- I'm allowed that, right?
And then I ate Panda Xpress ChowMein for lunch. Now I want to puke.
And we are having some friends over for dinner and games tonight- which means big calories (aka-dinner+wine+dessert).
(here's the menu that I'm making in case you were curious- Mexican Millet, Black Beans in a Chipotle Adobo sauce, Jicama-Watercress-Avocado Salad- all from Veganomican. Wine and dessert are coming with our guests)
Friday=Fail!
I guess I just have to kick it up a notch this weekend.
P.S. We are playing this game tonight. Got it for Christmas and it's SUPER FUN!

Weigh-in Wednesday
I know I've tried this before, but I think I'm going to try it again to keep myself accountable.
So because I was a failure over the last year with watching what I was eating and drinking (I'll admit that I drank WAY too much! Which is why I've given up alcohol for a very long while) I was back up in weight. Like I lost 10 lbs last Jan-Feb and gained 8 of it back over the last year. YIKES!
My overall goal is to lose 40 lbs. It's going to be tough as I haven't been that weight in over 4 years, but I'm determined to get there. I'm taking a cue from Suzie and others and will weigh in once a week. And try on my "skinny" (not skinny style, just skinny ME) jeans once a week (Lord, help me!). I'll post the stats and my successes and failures. I may even start up my eating blog/ diary again... we'll see. Anyone with me on this?
So here goes:
Weight loss/gain: (Since a week ago Monday) -5.4
Skinny Jeans: haha this was a joke... could not even get them past my knees
I've been doing really well with eating, which has been the hardest I think ;-) When we were TTC I would let myself turn to food and alcohol whenever I was down (I know, totally bad- especially since this was OFTEN) and I just kind of fell into the habit of eating whatever I wanted. Through pgy and even after having B, I still allowed myself just eat.
We've been going back to being vegetarians working towards vegan and it's going really well. My one bad meal this week was Denny's breakfast with my IL and Batman last Friday (he had worked a 6pm-6am shift so we met him for some grub). I savored every bite of my hashbrowns and eggs haha!
Work outs have been relatively easy to keep up with. Don't get me wrong, I sweat until I'm dripping, but I look forward to them everyday. I usually do them during one of B's naps and then if I do a second one, when B goes to bed (Batman and I do them together then). I've been doing 45-60 min on the elliptical just about everyday and then 3-4 days a week of the p90x weight and ab workouts.
I'm pretty happy with my weight loss. I'm not sure it's completely accurate though since my original weigh in was in the evening and my weigh in today was mid morning. But I'll take what I can get haha! Hopefully, it continues in this direction- going down!
So there you have it. Week 1 in the bag!

The only thing better than a UW (or BSU) win
Is an Oregon LOSS!! Woot!
And even though I didn't get to witness the beautiful defeat (we don't have cable- why is okay to televise the BCS National Championship on ESPN again? Gah!) it made my entire week to find out the results this morning.
Does my heart good to see the ducks go down.
Still not a fan of the SEC, but I'll cheer for their teams anytime they are playing those "quacks" from Eugene.
Oh happy day! <3

Narrowing it down
We are finally getting to the point where Brynna is outgrowing her infant carrier seat, so I've been doing research on convertibles. I think I've narrowed it down to 3... or maybe just 2 after my conversation with the saleslady today...
But I need some advice or maybe just some votes:
Option #1- Recaro ProRide
Option #2- Britax Boulevard
Option #3- Sunshine Kids Radian XTSL
I linked them all to gray ones as that's probably what we would get (even though I LOVE this fabric on the Britax and this fabric on the SK) to minimize stainage and in case it goes to another child (who am I kidding though- these car seats will fit Brynna until she's like 8!).
So what do you think? I'm leaning more towards either the Recaro or the SK. And probably mostly towards the SK. But I had B sit in the Recaro today and it just looked so comfy (they didn't have the Britax or SK in so I'll have to go back and see how they fit her when they do). Also the SK is supposedly pretty heavy (like I would be taking it in and out of my car... NOPE!) so that's something to consider?
Anyone have experience with any of these? What are some of your pros and cons? What car seat do you have (if not one of these) and what do you like or dislike about it?

It's starting again...
LOL I only mean the cheer season is up and running again after a 3 week break for the holidays. We had our team dinner last night (which by the way 4 people missed... so much for it being a mandatory event) and had pizza (well they did... I had an apple and and orange) and some good laughs hearing about everyone's Christmas Break.
And then Michelle (the advisor) wanted them to watch a movie... Stomp the Yard.
All I can say is... WOW.
That was a whole lot of cheesy and 2 hours of my life I will never get back. Seriously brutal.
It will make for many an inside joke at practices though. Maybe it will help keep them motivated? Haha!
Busy few days and weeks from here on out. Practice this morning- game tonight- practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and games Thursday and Saturday- yipes! This is the part of the season when I realize they really don't pay me enough. 4-5 nights a week away from Batman and B... I don't like it. Not one bit! It's only for a couple months though... I'm going to try sane until March.
As for AF- it seems to be officially the hag, as it's continued since my post. So here we are at day 3. I'm not sure what to expect since she's completely throwing me for a loop.
Happy Saturday!

AF maybe?
Has the witch finally returned after a {almost} 2 year hiatus?
I have little to no experience with the IUD other than having one for the last year. At the time of "insertion" (is that the right term... sounds weird) my doc said I might not get AF until I get it taken out. Since the leaving of post baby bleeding, I haven't had any visits other than the occasional spotting after DTD *ahem* vigorously.
So here's my question- what's your experience with IUD and AF? I was rather enjoying a life free of AF for a while, but she seems to be returning. It's not heavy by any means (which is the norm for me), but still a nuisance. I need a little advice from some BTDT!

Resolutions
I usually shy away from doing resolutions since I end up epically failing at them. In fact, I can't remember the last one I made, let alone made AND kept.
But this year is different. I'm GOING to conquer my resolutions (or at least the ones I have control over) if it kills me!
So in no particular order, here they are:
But this year is different. I'm GOING to conquer my resolutions (or at least the ones I have control over) if it kills me!
So in no particular order, here they are:
- Lose the rest of this baby weight... it's pretty ridiculous that I'm still holding onto 10 lbs of it. Bad eating habits+ sporadic work outs = no true weight loss since last March!
- Lose the TTC weight. I gained about 15-20 lbs while TTC B. Sometimes I blame the effects of clomid, other times I realize I had already gained a good 10 of it before 'mid even came into the picture (aka my eating (and sometimes drinking) habits were less than desirable).
- Be a better blogger. My goal is 3 times a week or more. This will hopefully be the easiest one ;-)
- Get to know Jesus better. Over the last few years I've really struggled in my relationship with God and it needs work. I want to be a better example for my daughter. I want to be a better me. I want Jesus in my life again.
- Maybe make a baby {this one is obviously the one out of my control}... Batman has mentioned TTC a few times over the last couple months and more so the last couple weeks- which completely surprised me, to be honest. We aren't jumping in just yet (Somedays I'm ready, others I'm not- even though I LOVED being pregnant), but probably by the summer or fall we will be.
So there you have it. 2011 WILL = a better me ;-)
Anyone else make a resolution this year?

Anyone interested?
Batman and I have been on Operation: WinterClean the last few days and weve discovered many things... junk, things we don't use (and maybe should), thing we wish we used, things we won't ever use...
And I came across these:
They are Berry Red vinyl and since they match nothing in my house, I won't ever put them up. But maybe someone can use them? The "Welcome" sign is 22" x 4.25" and the "Kisses" sign is 9.75" x 3.75"
If anybody out there wants them email me (tifwalk {at} gmail [dot] com) and I will send one (or both if you want them both) to you :)
I hope someone out there can use them. They are too cute to let sit around any longer!
And here's a pic of the munchkin this morning that was just too cute ;-)

Happy New Year!
Batman and I are up way too early for my taste... Brynna did NOT stay up until midnight and so doesn't realize that 6 is WAY too early... But it's the beginning of a brand new year! I can't complain and I'm excited to get this year off to a good start! :)
I hope this year turns out to be a great one! For all my friends that are still wishing for babies, I pray that 2011 is your year to become a mama. For all my friends that already have little one (s) I pray that this coming year sees you happy and safe.
Happy 2011 Everyone!
