I haven't posted pics of my cutie pie in a couple weeks so here are a couple of my faves from recently. I need to remember my girl at this age. She's getting to be so full of sass (both in a good and bad way) ;) and such a big girl. I can't wait to see what s great big sister she will be :)

The short list
Batman and I are at an impasse. He's got his list of "okay" boys names and I have mine. And none of the names match. Fun times. Nothing really stands out to either of us on either list, making this decision impossible.
His list:
Colt
Corbin (I have a cousin whose son is named this and we usually see them anytime we visit Seattle. And I don't like it)
My list:
Vander (he hates so def a no go)
Kellen
Bruce (obviously a no go since, well, the whole batman thing...)
Cade
And that's really it. They're short lists and neither of us is willing to budge. And I'm starting to dislike my list. Kind of.
Batman seems the most stuck on Colt. And I have a sneaky feeling I'm going to have to be the one to give in.
*sigh* this needs to be easier.

37 weeks
Eek! We've made it down to the (almost) end :)
Here's the pic comparison:
Belly#2 at 37 weeks
Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 37 weeks
Size of baby: Baby #2 is about 19.25 in long (about the size of swiss chard- length only I'm guessing) and weighs a little over 6 lbs. My doc estimates little man will be between 7-8 lbs or so at birth unless he starts packing on a good deal of weight.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: up 3.5 this time... overall 34 by my scale, almost 36 by theirs. Need to watch what I'm eating and STAY INSIDE with A/C
Clothes: Obviously maternity
Gender: Team Blue.
Movement: Less these days as he's running out of room
Sleep: Not much due to peeing all the time.
What I miss: seeing my feet!
Cravings: none
Symptoms: Heartburn, sciatic pain and numbness down the front of my left leg, CONSTANT BHs !
Moment this week: Got checked and we are at 1cm, but still not much effacement and my cervix is poniting to the back. Doc estimates I still have another couple weeks... at least ;-)
What I'm looking forward to: Meeting this little guy and finding him a NAME.
Milestones: Strep B swab? won't know until next week, but it was uneventful. Oh ya, and FULL TERM!

Full Term! - list fixed... I think
First of all, thank you all so much for your comments over the weekend! I needed a little pep talk after my crazy meltdown of Friday ;-) We ended up all going out on a date Friday night and even though I didn't get a "break" it was a really nice (and much needed) outing for me too! I know a lot of my feelings stemmed from being near the end of this pregnancy and just being SO. Dang. Tired. coupled with some pretty typical 2 yr old behavior. I'm almost back to feeling like a good mom again ;-) And Lauren- I haven't had a chance yet, but I am definitely going to check out those articles! Thank you!
Second-
I'm full term!
Yep, that's right folks. I've made it to the 37 week mark and Little Man is welcome to come any time now... even though he still doesn't have a name and we may or may not have everything done ;-) We will be doing the last of our shopping needs this weekend (see our list below and if you have anything to add, feel free... I may be forgetting some things), I'll be putting the finishing touches on his nursery (ie, getting curtains hung and nic nacs set up) and I'll be packing my hospital bag and B's overnight/ grandparent's bag once that's done.
I decided not to write out a birth plan this time around because... well, I'm kind of being lazy ;-) To be honest I've had such good experiences at our hospital (and my doc already knows what I "want") that I'm not too worried about things getting crazy (unless of course there's an emergency of some kind- at which point, I would have an option anyway). The L&D nurses do actually listen when you talk and the antepartum nurses do as well (although they change much more often, so I may have to say "avoid pacis" more than once). ;-)
I also kind of (accidentally) skipped taking a 36 week pic, so this evening I'll try and get Batman to take one and I'll do a 37 week update. Oh, and I ate HORRIBLE all weekend and on top of being a bit swollen I'm afraid I've gained 6 lbs in the last 2.5 weeks :( Wish me luck that this morning's weigh/ in (doc appt- the lovely strep B swab this morning) isn't quite so bad? FX!
Our lists-
Haves:
Car seat
crib/ mobile
changing table
diaper bag
diapers (CD)
clothes
hats
sleepers
receiving blankets (although all these are
still at great grandma's house... not sure
how long she's waiting to give us these)
burp rags (also at GG house)
sheets
thermometer
soap/ shampoo
butt cream
monitor
bottles
breast pump
baby tub
baby carrier (baby k'tan)
stroller
bouncy seat
swing
toys/ books
Needs:
diaper pail (our old one was nasty)
wipes
'sposies (for just the first couple weeks)
pants! (the kid has 100 onesies, but only 2 prs of pants)
brush/ comb (although not essential)
hooded towels
washcloths
nail file
bottles/ nipples
bottle brush
nursing pads (I have a few reusable, but I need more)
nursing bras (the old ones are shot)
alcohol wipes
pajamas/robe (for me)
Dy-visol (although we don't need this right away)
Tummy time mat (also not essential but would be nice)
Bassinet (we co slept with B the first month, but would
rather little man has his own bed in our room at first
instead of ours... not a need but a want if I can find one
at a consignment store for relatively cheap)
Am I missing anything you can think of?
(oh I did find Miss B a present from baby boy yesterday at costco! We got her a set of Minnie Mouse/ Doc McStuffins puzzles- she LOVES her puzzles- for a good deal. I do want to get her a neat "big sister trinket though too, like a locket or a special bracelet) :)

Worlds worst mom
I'm having one of those days where I just feel like a bad mom all around. I've yelled, gotten mad, given B an enormous amount of time outs, snapped, ranted and raved... I'm at my wits end :( And through all that I just want to sit and have a good cry (and a very large bottle of wine... Which of course I can't for a while, so crying may have to do).
I have a feeling a lot of this is pregnancy hormones coupled with a normal case of "terrible twos" behavior but I feel like such a failure regardless.
I think I'm in much need of a night off which, thankfully, I'm getting a couple hours to myself as Batman is taking B out on a "date" tonight (that sounds kinda weird lol)
I know we all have days like this, but this one's hitting me hard for some reason. I don't want to be that mom. I want to be better than that. I don't like losing my cool around B. I want her to learn better ways of coping than yelling or getting so frustrated you snap. I'm not being a great example these days, and I fear she's going to be an emotional basket case just like I was growing up. I want better for her. She deserves better.
Sorry for the rambling. Im just at the end of my rope today, this week, this month. Ahhh!

Another round of crocheting
I got the bug again and decided that baby boy and B needed some matching hats. And since I'm a Disney freak fanatic and B loves Mick.ey Mou.se Clu.bhou.se, here's what I came up with:
They both need a couple buttons added, but other than that, I think they turned out "not bad." ;-)

34 weeks!
Yikes! This update is now extremely late seeing as I'll be 36 weeks in a couple days... Oh well! At least I had it typed up and ready to go... I've just been slacking on the picture uploads LOL Here we go!
Belly #2
Belly #1
I did take a bare belly pic as well, but I realized I was only in a bra only afterwards, so I don't think I'll post it ;-) I will try and take another one for my 36 week update though just so you can REALLY see how different I'm carrying little man. SO MUCH HIGHER! No wonder I can't breathe ;-)
Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 34 weeks
Size of baby: Baby #2 is about 17.75 in long (about the size of an average cantaloupe) and weighs about 4.75 lbs. Getting bigger everyday!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I did peek at the scale at my last appt and I was actually DOWN a pound this time! Which by my calculations puts me at 29 lbs overall, by theirs at 31 lbs overall. This is totally okay with me and I think I really will stick to only 35 lbs total this time! Woot!
Clothes: Still maternity of course! Mostly dresses these days since it's SO hot here (81 degrees at 7am this morning) and they are easy.
Gender: Still a boy... still without a name.
Movement: Constant, except when I'm sleeping... or at least I don't notice it then (thank you uni.som)
Sleep: Back to getting up 4-6 times a night to pee, even with uni.som, but at least I'm sleeping a bit.
What I miss: Cute clothes, breathing, working out, the list goes on...
Cravings:Nada that I can think of
Symptoms: Heartburn, heartburn and more heartburn. Tums have become my BFF.
Moment this week: Getting more and more checked off the list. It's slow, but steady progress
What I'm looking forward to: STILL-Getting everything done so I can stop stressing about baby's impending arrival. We are getting there.
Milestones: None that I can think of. Since this is late I guess we have hit the 35 week mark... that's a milestone, right?

Another Brynna photo dump
I haven't done one of these in a while so here's a few pics of B from the last couple months :) We've been having a blast this summer. I didn't overload you with pictures so "dump" is kind of misleading;-)

Thoughts?
I need a little BTDT advice on a couple things. We are coming down to the last few weeks before little man's arrival and the pressure is on (at least I feel like it is).
1. I've been thinking about putting a basket together for the nurses in l&d and in postpartum care. Somthing like this maybe? Did any of you do this? Or did you write a thank you card or anything? We didn't when we had B, but it's seems like a nice thing to do, especially if I end up being induced again and have the time (and forethought) to put it together.
2. Did ya'll write up another birth plan for #2+? I'm know my doc still has the one from B in my chart, but I was thinking I should probably type up something simple for the l&d nurses again. Just an outline really, but at least letting them know how I *hope* things go ;-)
3. I'm trying to find some nursing tops this time around. I need to know where to find some good ones. I liked a couple that I saw at Mother.hood, and they were on sale (so I may go back and get them) but did anyone find some good ones online?
4. For my CD mama friends, I'm looking to buy a few more CDs, just to supplement our stash and I came across some Oh Katy! diapers on greenbabybargains today. Has anyone tried these? They look similar to BG and others, which I LOVE! Worth it? They are only 10.50 today only, so I guess it wouldn't be a complete waste if I bought a couple.
34 week update in the works.. just need to get my pics uploaded ;-)
