37 wks and a big baby

I had my appt this morning... business is closed for another week. It was pretty quick, like usual. Got a flu shot, had a BP check (120/76), got the results of the Strep B test (negative), got the internal check (again- closed- firmly closed), measured Olive, yada, yada, yada...

I guess I'll be hanging out for at least another week, which really doesn't bother me at all since we still have TONS to do (at least it feels that way), and plenty of things to buy. I'm of a mind to keep her baking for AT LEAST another 2 weeks or longer.

Only downside? He's estimating her at 7 lbs already... EEK! I have a feeling she is going to bigger than I originally thought...

I'm so happy to hear Olive is healthy. She will be here before you know it! I hope she gives you the time you need to prepare, without gitting *too* much bigger!

But, if she decides to come early, you WILL be able to handle it, trust me! :)

Those measurements are always off. They told me Gage was going to be atleast 8 lbs and he was 6 lbs 15oz. Glad all is well with Olive though. I can't wait to see some pictures! =)

I'm thrilled you had a good appointment.

There's no way of telling when you'll go into labor. When I had my last ob/gyn appointment at 39w5d, my cervix was tightly sealed shut and my baby was sitting as high as she could get. I went into labor the very next day.

You never know!! Make sure your hospital bag is packed. :)

I'm happy hear things are going well! I'll say a prayer that she stays in for another two weeks(lol it's usually the opposite). I wouldn't be so sure about the doctors measurements, mine told THREE times, that Brinley would be 6lbs give or take a little and she was 8lb 12oz when she was born. They tend to be a little off.

Yay for a good appointment!! I don't blame you for wanting to keep her cookin for as long as possible..I think I'm going to be the same way. As long as we don't get MUCH over 7 pounds, I'm sure it'll be fine!
Can't wait for the BIG DAY!!! :-)

Don't worry yourself about how big Olive is. My Dr said at least 8lbs the day she induced me, Daphne was only 6.5... I can't believe your LO is almost here!!

You've got a healthy baby girl in there! Good luck on finishing all your projects & items on your to-do list but be prepared. As Melissa said, I've seen MANY of my friends have appts & say they've got weeks left only to go into labor that night or the next day. Unfortunately, in this part of things nothing is predictable. You're going to do great!
