There's a first time for everything

We survived. Brynna survived.

Batman had his company Christmas party last night. It was the first time we've left Miss B with ANYONE. You can imagine I was kind of a nervous wreck (Batman on the other hand was completely fine with it... typical man)! All went well though.
Batman's parents came over and watched her for the 3 hours we were gone. They did a great job and even put her to bed before we got home. Oh and folded a bunch of our laundry (sweet!).
We even had a pretty good time at the party. We did a gift exchange that included half "good" gifts and half white elephant gifts. It was pretty hilarious some of the things that people brought. We came home with a great bucket of different beers and nuts (someone stole it from Batman, but I got it back for him). We would have also come home with some very hideous angel ornaments, but Batman left them hidden at the host's house (it's kind of a tradition with him and them- they leave theirs in his office sometime the week following. He hides his somewhere in their house). OVerall, we had a great time.
I don't know if I'm ready to leave her again soon though. I just missed my girl so much... is that sad or what?

I still have a hard time leaving Brinley, but it's good to get out for some adult time when possible. I'm glad you were able to enjoy yourself.

I'm thrilled that you had a nice evening out alone with your husband. Can I just say that I haven't had that same luxury yet & my daughter is a year old?!

Seriously, it must be great having family nearby to help. Congrats on surviving your first outing without Miss Brynna!

Baby steps :) Glad you had a fun time. I'm sure it will eventually get easy to do the whole babysitter thing :)

The first outing is the hardest. I called my MIL every 30 minutes when Patrick and I went on our first night out without Gage.
