50 Shades...

First of all, what do you think of the new look? It's still in progress, but I'm getting there :)

Second, have you succumbed to the latest "it" books to read? Thanks to a wonderful fellow blogger, I've been a terrible mom the last few days (allowing my child to watch WAY more TV than normal), engrossing myself in all things Grey.

Oh my.

While the writing is completely terrible, I do like a good piece of trash once in a while. And to say it has added to my already overactive libido is an understatement.

If you haven't read it yet, and like a good erotic, trashy, romance novel once in a while, the trilogy is a good read (although I've heard about lots of disappointment with book 3... I'm only in the middle of book 2). I know some people can't get over the bad writing, but it's really worth a look.

I'd recommend it to anyone needing a love affair with fiction and romance ;-)

I'm impressed with what you've done with your blog all on your own!

And lol about increasing your already overactive libido!

I am half way thru book 3. Ihave a hard time with the sex now....basically skipping those scenes. I just can't believe that there is any man alive that can get it up that often AND a woman (that was a Virgin) that can have that many orgasms. But I do like the love story part.

I'm currently halfway through the first book. Although I've been mildly amused by the few trashy scenes so far, the author's writing is atrocious. It's so hard to see past that!

I'm also wondering how the author could have possibly filled three LENGTHY books with these few shallow characters and awful, cliched plot. How many times can I read the same variation of the same sex scene? And if I hear the author's reference to "inner goddess" one more time, I may very well toss the book into my fireplace. It gets old and boring rather fast. *YAWN*

I'm hoping it gets better as I get further into the trilogy. I have very little spare time in my day, if any, and I'd hate to throw it all away on a less-than-stellar book.

On a different note, I love your blog's new look! Now you just need to post some more. ;-)

I'm so behind on reading, I haven't even read The Hunger Games yet even though I've had it on my Kindle for ages but I think I'll have to add this one too now.

Love the new blog design!
