And with that...
He's gone. It's been a little bit of a rough day around here. Batman leaving, compounded with Little Miss waking up at 2:30 makes for a very. long. day. Needless to say, we didn't make it to church this morning. And we've just been kind of lazy- reading books, napping, watching movies and se.same. str.eet. It doesn't really get any easier no matter how many times we have been through these separations. *sigh*

Last Minute Memories
We've been trying to spend as much time as we can with Batman this past week. He leaves in 3 days :(
We've been going to the park and watching movies and spending some Daddy/daughter time and *ahem* mommy/daddy time. We've taken lots of pictures (Get your mind out of the gutter! All from the park) and had lots of fun making some "last minute memories" that we can hold onto for the next 3 months.
I know we will have sky.pe and we (or maybe just me) will probably go and visit him at least once while he's gone, but we've needed some time to just hang out, just the 3 of us. I know I'm going to miss him a lot. I'm sure Brynna will have some realization that he's gone. I'm just hoping she kind of doesn't really understand.
It's left little time to blog, but I promise to be back next week. And I may even post some of the pics (Of the PARK!) ;-)

Oh and Happy St Patty's Day!
Fun times at the doctor's office
Well, Batman was still adamantly against having said IUD removed, so it remains in place.
However, yesterday's appt was quite the doozy.
First off, let me just say that Brynna is a really good kid. She doesn't throw tantrums when we are out in public (much...yet!) and she is pretty good at keeping herself occupied. Which she did while we were in the room, like usual. What kept her busy though was taking EVERY. DAMN. THING. out of the diaper bag. And then out of my wallet. So you can imagine the scene that the doc (who I have never met before) walks into when he comes in the room. Disaster everywhere. Nice first impression, eh? Thankfully, he has lots of moms that bring in their kiddos (or so he said) so he's seen just about everything.
Second, he couldn't find the strings. And so had to go "searching" for them. You can imagine how lovely this feels. Ya, it was great. Nothing like having a speculum inserted and taken out half a dozen times and then the doc fingering you 3 times in order to just FIND the damn things! Curse you Batman!
Third, he found a polyp while digging around in my nether regions. So obviously that had to be removed. Which means he had to leave the room for a few minutes to get additional hardware for removal. Which also means, out comes the speculum. again. And Brynna discovered the diaper bag. Again.
And of course, having to remove said polyp means he lost the location of the strings again. More digging, more fingering, more speculum in and out.
I promise this doc wasn't a complete moron. In fact, I'm surprised he ended up even finding the strings at all. Or being able to cut anything off of them. Because, you guys? They were literally less than a centimeter long.
I actually kind of liked this doc. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him again if my own doc was unavailable.
I will NOT however be getting another IUD after this ones comes out.

Probably TMI
So, starting shortly after Christmas, Batman started complaining that my IUD string was "scraping" against him. He hadn't really complained about it up until that point, but for some reason or another, the string started to get irritating when we DTD. So like a good wife (who wanted to continue DTD with regularity), at my annual I had my doc take a look and he clipped the strings a bit (a lot) and all seemed right with the world.
Or so I thought.
Since said clipping, Batman has been "poked" pretty much every. time. Which means a couple of things- 1) there hasn't been as much lovin' going on and 2) when lovin' does take place, it ain't pretty... well, for Batman anyway.
So I set up an appt today to see what can be done (which btw is with another doc in the practice- mine didn't have an opening until April 15th). I'm not sure they can really clip the strings any shorter since they are already "all up in there" anyway. I can't imagine they want to clip them short enough to where they'd have to "dig" for them. Right?
If only I could convince Batman that we should just take the damn thing out! I mean, what's 10 days of unprotected TTC *ahem* I mean DTD, when we have a very low success rate of getting preggo in the last 6 years without any BC? Right? Right?
Anyway. I'll keep you posted. Hopefully, my nether regions and Batman's can come to a mutual understanding (a few times) before he leaves next week.

Not too shabby
I think they did pretty well, considering we have reworked that routine about a dozen times for various reasons...
I was pretty proud ;-) And to be honest, I kind of had a good time...
Let me know what you think! (please excuse my wobbly hand... I was a little nervous for them Ha!)

SPOID
Or as laymen know it: Special Olympics of Idaho
Yep, my kids are performing at the opening ceremonies of the state winter games. Kind of exciting for them. Especially since nearly half of them have an emphasis in special needs in their respective major.
We head up Friday morning, perform Friday night, and come home Saturday afternoon. I'm getting kind of excited myself. Too bad I have to wrangle all 10 (yes, I've lost or "fired" 9 of them since the beginning of the season) of them by. my. self. Sadly, the advisor, who was going to come along, dad passed away last week. The funeral is today.
I will post a video when I get back :) I think they will do great though! Wish us luck!
