6 weeks

(and a day- although the pic was taken yesterday)

I can't believe she is already 6 weeks old! OMG!! Where has the time gone? (oh and for those of you mommies that are able to blog everyday... PLEASE tell me your secret!! I feel like I have no time for the computer and have been cut off from the outside world!! Gah!)

Here's her 6 wk pic- a very happy one!

She has starting cooing this week and smiling more and more (as you can see in the pic). We took her in to the doc yesterday and she weighed in at a whopping 10 lbs! Yowza! She is still having bowel issues. As in, NO poop unless we stimulate her in some way, whether that's a thermometer, a finger, or a suppository. Karo and brown sugar water doesn't work. Neither does massage. Blah! I probably should be thanking my lucky stars that we have only had to change about 8 or 10 poopy diapers in the last 6 weeks, but instead I'm just worried. Her doc isn't though, so I guess I just have to let it go...

Our Thanksgiving was nice and low key. We watched the Macy's parade on TV in the morning and then headed to my IL for lunch/ dinner and games. We stayed in on Friday and relaxed.
We watched our BSU team take the WAC on Friday as well. Great game and they remain 6 in the nation! Can't wait for this Sunday's BCS Bowl announcement! We are hoping they make it into the Fiesta Bowl or the Sugar Bowl.

Sorry I'm still a bad blogger... hopefully I can learn all your secrets of time management with a baby SOON!!

When Brinley was that age I'd try to get online at naptime or after Bryan got home. I think most of my blogging was done at night back then to at like 2am after a feeding and I couldn't get back to sleep, lol. You'll figure it out soon, I promise.

She is beautiful! I love her gummy smile.

She looks JUST like you in this picture..she is ~SO~ gorgeous!! I just love that smile..she is such a happy baby!
It's going to take some time for you to get a routine down and I slack on my blog ALOT since I've had Mason...but you'll figure it all out soon! I wouldn't worry about her having bowel trouble, Mason had the same problem and his Pedi wasn't worried either. She will start doing the deed soon, haha! The bad thing is, she's going to have alot of pooping to catch up on and with Mason that meant LOTS of blowouts and leaks! haha! goodluck! :)

She is amazing, T. I am so happy for you! Don't worry about being an absent blogger--enjoy this time with her.

Oh, and as a Gator, I would love to see BSU in a BCS bowl game. Let's hope the pollsters get it right. :)

She's so cute in that pic! I can't believe she's already 6 weeks.

As for blogging, a lot of my posts are made in advanced and scheduled so it appears I blog every day. Otherwise I just blog whenever Annika is napping during the day.

She is a doll. We are having the same poop problems over here. We had to do a suppository and it broke my heart invading his little butt like that lol.

What a gorgeous little girl! I bet that smile just melts your heart. :)

Wow, what a crazy poop schedule. When my daughter was her age, she was pooping five times per day - no joke. However, there's such a wide range of normal. A breastfed baby can poop several times per day or only once per week. As long as the poop is very soft (not hard or pebbly) and as long as it doesn't involve a struggle, then all is fine. Just be thankful for the lack of messy poopy diapers!

I understand that you can't blog often, but I always look forward to your updates. (I used to always jump on the computer when my baby was napping). I hope you're doing well.

I have a laptop and a boppy, I hold her and type one handed or nurse her and type one handed.

She's adorable! Most of my blogging and commenting is done with one-handed typing while holding Eliza. Still hard to get enough time to get on the computer, though, I hear ya! Don't know how so many moms can blog daily.

Hope the poop situation remedies soon - although I have heard that some babies just aren't frequent poopers and will only have a poopy diaper once in a while, while others (like mine) poop all day long!! Babies are funny like that :)

Aren't those coos and smiles just the best?! I can be having the worst day ever and then Sophia just smiles at me and my day is good again. And the poop talks? Oh yeah...hubby and I had those early on too. LOL Once she starts going regularly, those chats start to diminish :)Glad things are going so well for you guys!!
