So I don't mean to shoot a gift horse in the mouth...

But SERIOUSLY!?

So I ordered these socks for Brynna. We found them at Disneyland and they are the ONLY socks I have found that STAY ON. They are a little on the pricey side (for me anyway) so I searched around and found them for a deal here. (I got her the pixie style and the jenny sneaker style in case you were wondering)
One of their promos is if you spend over a certain $ amount, they will send you a free gift. I was planning on getting two sets of six anyway, but thought to myself "score! a free gift with my order!" At checkout they make it sound like it's going to be a good gift- they ask for your child's name (in the event that the free gift is something embroidered) and their birth date. Again- pretty stoked.

And then I get the package in the mail.

The socks are AWESOME, as I already knew they would be. And I was so excited to see what my free gift was...
Until I opened it and saw this:

Really??!! I could have found this at the dollar store! I almost feel insulted. I guess my thought is, why bother? If you are going to tout that you include a "free gift" don't make false pretenses and make it sound great. Tell it like it is: It's cheesy and cheap. I've been going back and forth on whether or not to write them a letter, but I'm not sure it would do any good. I won't be ordering anything else from them again, at the very least.
Next time I'll just order from Amazon and save with free shipping instead.

they just started carrying that line at target! Don't know if they have it at your target but I found it at mine (CA)- they also have shoes....

I totally feel your pain on the whole sock issue. When my daughter was a newborn, my mother gave me some infant socks that were the BEST SOCKS EVER. Unfortunately, she only gave me a couple of pairs and we were never able to find any more of them - I was seriously upset about it because they were beyond awesome.

I've been searching for new stay-put socks for eons now, and I came across these - they're not the prettiest, but they stay put! They don't twist, they don't fall off, they don't budge - even with an active toddler!

Sorry about the cheap gift with your order. It's almost as bad as the outdoor thermometer I once received with an online purchase a few months back, lol.

I HATE BABY SOCKS SOOOOO MUCH!
(I tell Riley this about twice -or a hundred- times a day!)

So...would these have stayed on Brynna's feet when she was a newborn? We currently own ONE pair of socks that actually stay on her feet and since they were hand me downs from a friend, I have NO clue where they came from. Her feet are so long skinny (and skinny ankles, too), that NONE stay on.

So frustrating!!

I'm sorry the gift was crappy, but the Trumpette socks are the best. They are all my daughter wears. Luckily I got three boxes all as gifts, because they are expensive.

The socks are so adorable! About their availablility I have seen them in our Target (here in N TX) as well. ;)

Sorry about the crappy gift- I can't blame ya for being bummed. I'd have my expectations up too if I'd been asked my kid's name and b-day!
