Batman quit his job today... He's been really unhappy for the last 3 years and it's been like a cancer to him for way too long.
He was given the opportunity to work some days out at the base (80) which will take us up to August with income, but after that he's out of work. We knew this would be coming as he starts student teaching in the fall (did I tell you all that he was going back to school for his teaching certificate and MOE?) which meant he would have to either work something out with his current company (unlikely) or quit and get a part time job (or me get a part time job in the evenings... unless there is something I could do from home... anyone have any ideas?).
I'm a little scared what the future holds for us, but I know this was for the best. He can't keep working for a company that brings him down so much. I just want him to be happy again and I know this is the first step on the road to getting there.
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers!

Oh goodness! I'm glad he quit since he wasn't happy but I'd be a nervous wreck if I were you two. God will provide though, he always does. We will be praying!
Good for you two, for being brave enough to make tough decisions! Things will work out....I have a friend who always reminds me that whenever they have had financial trouble, "God has always provided for them, even in unexpected ways."
And, btw, good for Batman for getting his MOE! Yay, teachers! (hey, I may be biased, but whatever!) :-)
You are in my prayers! Keep the faith...God provides in unexpected ways if you trust him :) And good for Batman for walking away from a crappy job. No career is worth the misery [I know from personal experience]
Oh wow, that is a big change! I'm sending positive thoughts your way. Its so scary doing something like that... but i'm sure in the long run you'll all be happier when he's not at the job he hates!
Hey girl,
I know how this is, when DH got laid off from his job it was in some ways a big releif bc he hated that company. It's so much better to be away from a bad company. Hang in there and stay positive, and pray! It will all work out! He'll be so much happier plus time with you and B will be great! :)

I can see how his resignation may be anxiety-provoking on many levels, but he did what he obviously needed to do. No one should be stuck working in a miserable environment - and believe me when I say that things will work out in the end.
Congratulations on him pursuing his MOE & teaching certificate. It'll be a big change, but hopefully one that he'll find rewarding.
