How to cope

I know I've posted this on the boards over the last couple days... but how did you BTDT deal with the new stretch marks? I know it's probably normal (and even a little silly) to have a meltdown over them, but I did. And I'm still lamenting the loss of my "perfect" belly skin :( HELP!

I wish I knew T. Brinley is a year old and I have yet to come to terms with my stretch marks.

I miraculously escaped stretch marks and I don't have a single one. BUT - I now have disgusting old lady sagging boobies. I'll trade with you any day of the week! I was actually crying the other day over the sight of my gross boobies... they're really, really bad. Believe me, stretch marks are nothing in comparison.

I saw my stretch marks for the first time four days ago, when DH said, "what is that?" I ran to the bathroom, grabbed a mirror (to see the bottom of my stomach), and cried my eyes out. It totally sucks. I have been putting on belly butter religiously too.

Tis a sad thing. If you find something that works, I'd love to know!

Buy some Mederma and start using it now and continue to use it after the baby is born and until the stretch marks have faded a lot. Mine are barely visable now and I didn't start using Mederma on them until about two years ago.

I've heard that Mederma works wonders! Try it and let me know how it works. I haven't gotten any stretch marks on my belly yet but my butt is covered! Luckily my bathingsuit bottom will cover them.

I have a horrid case of stretch marks! Luckily they are the white kind and not the reddish purple. I had a really hard time accepting them but everything I tried didn't get rid of them...I used Mederma for a few months and saw NO improvement.
Luckily since I lost so much weight after my pregnancy, my stomach is flat so I don't look to horrible and MIL and Hubbs (two very tell it like it is people) have told me they can hardly see them so I still wear my bikini at the beach and dont pay any mind to what other peoples faces look like as I walk by!!!

I've heard a lot of good things about a cream called StriVectin-SD. It's pretty expensive $135.00 for a 6oz tube. But I have 3 friends who had awful stretch marks they used it and swear by it.

Awww T I'm sorry! At least being pregnant is the reason you have stretch marks...I had them BEFORE I got pregnant..sad- I know!
It's just something you have to accept and come to terms with...they usually get better after the baby is born but I can't promise you they are going to go away 100%. Even though they may not look beautiful to you, they are still a beautiful thing because it means you carried a life inside of you...and Batman will love your belly with or without streth marks! :)
