3T pain in my... legs

Why is it that I turned 28wks last Tuesday and it was a like a switch turned on for the 3T woes?
4 nights I have been woken up with excrutiating leg cramps and toe cramps! Heart burn has turned up a notch. My back is worse than ever, even when I do my exercises. I can't sleep.
Ugh!! If this is how the next 11 wks are going to go, count me OUT!! I know Olive needs more time to bake, but this is a little ridiculous!

Sorry to complain... just need some self pity time.

In other news, the nursery is FINALLY ready to be painted and worked on ;-) We did lots of good house and yard work this weekend and I feel really good about where we are with things (even if I haven't started on the bedding yet). ;-)

Happy Monday!

Oh yes, the heartburn. I was going through a large bottle of Tums per week. It started at 27/28 weeks and only got worse with each passing week. Pregnancy isn't easy, but the end result is so worth it!

I took Zantac 75mg for my heartburn and acid reflux while I was preggo. My OB told me to take that instead of the tums. Takes a little longer to kick in but lasts a lot longer. I had Hubbs rub my legs and stretch them for me every night to help with the cramps. I had restless leg syndrom really bad too. :/ I remember being afraid to stretch in fear of another horrid leg cramp! Hope it gets better soon! No worries on the bedding being done in time. Unless you plan on using it right away. Noah didn't use his crib till 5 months. He slept in my room in his pack and play. LOL I made Hubbs hurry up and finish his nursery before he was born. And made nasty faces and snarles when things weren't done. :) and it was almost all for nothing. I'm tellin ya, I'm a mean pregnant woman.
Hope it gets better soon! Maybe ask your OB aboot Tylenol PM to help you sleep. I knew quite a few preggos taking that.

Let it out sista!! 4 weeks ago, I got a prescription for h/b and I am SO happy. It's kinda pricey at $40 dollars a month, but TOTALLY worth it.

OUCH for the leg (and toe!) cramps! That totally sucks.

Ugh Tiff - that just sucks big-time. I'm so sorry Olive is making you feel so puny. It seems to me that you have suffered enough to get to this point ... all the pain is supposed to be over by now!
((hugs))

Ugh. I hate the heartburn. doc put me on zantac 2x a day and it seems to help. that and really small frequent meals. there is an end in sight!! i hate the leg/foot stuff. swimming has really helped keep it to a minimim for me (esp. the sciatic nerve problems). if you have access to a pool, i'd highly recommend it!

I'm sorry T! I hope things start to ease up so you can enjoy this time more. It'll all be over before you know it and it'll be worth all this crap.

Sorry! That does not sound fun -at all-. Just remember the end is so close, and I think there are a few things that you are allowed to take concerning heart burn. (((Hugs!)))

Ugh, I hope your issues are more temporary than in the "it gets worse before it gets better" category.

I'm having HORRIBLE heartburn too, but it has been sporadic. My sleeping issues are all about my hips. If I sleep with a sturdy pillow between my kness my back and legs don't complain too much but oh my aching hips!

Congrats on the nursery progress. Ours has been stalled at "ready to be painted" for over a month!

Hey -
My doc said you need to up your water, potassium and sodium. I can't just eat salty foods bc it blows me up. So i upped my water and then drink 1 low cal gatorade a day. It includes potassium and sodium and it works. Much better! Try it out~!
